State Police Vehicles operated in Toy County.
State Police vehicles in Toy County are assigned to the 34th State Police division. They operate as backup to the County Sheriff, and carryout SERT (Special Emergency Response Team) and SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) operations.
State Police Unit 43
This 2016 Slicktop Ford Taurus-PI is responsible for securing Interstate and State highways, including speed checks and accident response. The officer assigned to this unit is armed with a Beretta M1911 , and wears a bulletproof vest at all times.
State Police Unit 41
This Ford Explorer is responsible for helping the County Sheriff secure the desert, and inaccessible areas of the county. This unit is usually a supervisor, and is responsible as a SERT/SWAT vehicle. Although there is a dog on the side, the vehicle does not carry any Canines. The officer assigned to this unit is armed with an M-16 rifle, a shotgun, an OGEL .45 pistol. SERT/SWAT interventions require gas grenades, and this officer also has a bulletproof intervention helmet.
State Police Unit 36
The State Police Operates a BMW R1200-P, and is used solely for highway patrols regarding traffic violations. This officer is armed with an OGEL .40 pistol, and permanently wears a bullet proof vest.
